Civil funeral and farewell to worldwide famous baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky was held in Tchaikovsky Concert Hall today, November 27. The Moscow State Philharmonic Academy director Aleksey Shalashov and ex-ombudsman Pavel Astakhov came first to honor the memory of the great singer and a close friend.
Hvorostovsky is laid in state at Tchaikovsky Concert Hall stage where he gave many performances.
Memorial wreathes and dozens of flower baskets from colleagues, friends and relatives are placed next to the coffin. The ceremony is to be followed by burial at the Novodevichy cemetery
Commemoration's online broadcast was held on the website of the State Philharmonic's website, and on several TV Channels. The singer has bequeathed to bury the ashes in Moscow and his native city Krasnoyarsk.

Civil funeral and farewell to people’s artist of Russia Dmitry Khvorostovsky will be held on Monday at the concert hall named after Tchaikovsky in Moscow, told RIA Novosti in the Ministry of culture of the Krasnoyarsk territory, where he was born Opera singer.
Hvorostovsky died 22 November morning in London on 56-m to year of life after long illness. At the end of June 2015, the singer, for many years lived in London, announced that she was suffering from a brain tumor. Hvorostovsky was born in Krasnoyarsk and is an honorary citizen of Krasnoyarsk and the Krasnoyarsk territory.
«Civil funeral and farewell to Dmitri Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky will be in Moscow, in the concert hall named after Tchaikovsky, 27 November from 10.00 to 13.00 hours,» — said the Agency interlocutor.
In the regional Ministry of culture said that everyone who wants to honor the memory of a great artist in Moscow, can come to the permanent mission of the Krasnoyarsk Krai under the government of the Russian Federation: zvonarsky lane, 9.
Earlier, the people’s artist of the USSR, first Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on culture Iosif Kobzon said that Hvorostovsky bequeathed to cremate his body and bury the ashes in Moscow and his native city of Krasnoyarsk. In the Metropolitan Department of trade and services, RIA Novosti reported that the ashes of the singer will be buried in Moscow at Novodevichy cemetery.
The great Russian singer
The global recognition of the singer brought victory in 1989 on a TV contest Bi-bi-si «Singer of peace» in the city of Cardiff (UK) where he was awarded the title of «Best voice» and won the main prize. After the Opera’s debut in the West at the Nice Opera in nice (France) at the Opera of Peter Tchaikovsky «Queen of Spades» Dmitry was invited to speak at world’s leading Opera houses and participate in recognized Opera festivals.

According to the Director of Bolshoi theatre Vladimir Urin, the news of the death Hvorostovsky spoke of incredible pain in the hearts of many. «We knew, knew that he was sick, but was hoping that a miracle will happen… a Unique singer who God has given incredible beauty of the voice, male incredible charisma and artistry. Being young, he already became a star in the highest sense of the word. Something is unfair in this life that he left so early,» urin told reporters.
Musical Director of Covent garden Antonio Pappano admitted that Hvorostovsky has graced the stage of the Royal theatre genuine talent and generosity towards the viewer. In his opinion, the Opera singer has always set new goals and met difficulties head-on.
Artistic Director of the Royal albert hall in London Lucy noble has told RIA Novosti that the concert hall was honoured to be on stage, Hvorostovsky, who won the hearts of audience with his talent, warmth and charisma.
Director of the Vienna state Opera Dominique Meyer admitted that he always admired the power of Hvorostovsky, who with dignity presented himself, in spite of serious illness.
At the Opera house in Vienna on the day of death Hvorostovsky was posted black mourning flag and a performance of that day began with a minute of silence in memory of the singer.
